Jessica Bonanno joined Marin Organic after eight years of federal policy-making and political education experience in Washington, D.C. She most recently served as a lobbyist to the federal government, advocating for small businesses on issues such as tax reform, access to affordable health care, Small Business Administration policies, immigration reform and labor laws. Previously, Jessica served as a legislative correspondent to Senator John S. McCain where she handled energy, environment, agriculture and Native American policy matters. She also worked for Chairman McCain as staff on the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. Bonanno is first generation Sicilian-American, and was raised in northeastern Ohio with a strong culture of food and family. Her access to home-grown and homemade foods started a life-long quest to find such simple abundance everywhere she goes. She is delighted to have discovered the community and bounty of Marin.
