Our volunteer program is aimed at pairing interested members of our community with the parts of our work that they are the most interested in. At Marin Organic we also recognize that it is because people choose to donate their time, we are able to perform and carry-out our vision with grace and momentum.

The best way to sign up for our volunteer program is to be in communication with us, you can call or email, 415.663.9667 or info@marinorganic.org. We will gather your contact information, sign you up, and be in touch with you about specific volunteer opportunities.

Our biggest needs for volunteers fall into these categories:

1. Event volunteers – this includes every type of event from Taste of Marin to assisting with Farm Tours. Check our Events page for events that you are interested in helping with. It is our intention that all volunteers are able to enjoy a part of the event they are assisting for free. Tasks may include setting up tables and chairs, pouring drinks, taking tickets, etc.
2. Hosting an informational table – we are often invited to host a “Marin Organic Table” at various fun events in the Bay Area and our only limiting factors are time and people! We have all the information you’ll need to understand our work and feel confident in sharing your passion with others. Also, if you happen to see an event that you feel would fit our mission, we are open to all suggestions.
3. Join the MO Glean Team – please visit our Organic School Lunch and Gleaning webpage for more information. We are looking for hands and hearts to help harvest produce around Marin that we then donate to schools and community centers as part of our Organic School Lunch Program.
4. Office project volunteers – Sometimes we have a need for last minute help in the office, with a small staff it is really great to have a few volunteers who can be available during business hours to call on to help stamp envelopes or create gift bags for events or to update our press/scrap book.
5. Creative volunteers – this is our catch-all category. We recognize that everyone has something to offer and that we don’t even know what all of our needs are. Maybe you could share with us your professional expertise – this could include, helping us review and update our website, taking photos at events and farms, contributing graphic design for posters, sharing marketing techniques…what would be your favorite way to join our work?
